AZTEC Spicy Drinking Chocolate


Aztec Spicy Drinking Chocolate is our version of the ancient "Drink of the Gods" made from the highest quality Single Origin cacao beans. Rich dark chocolate, warming ancho and chipotle chilies, cinnamon with a whisper of vanilla and cardamom bring you the authentic taste to invigorate and warm your heart.


Directions: you can mix with boiling water to create a rich cup of European-style drinking chocolate or with milk for more Traditional American-style drinking chocolate.


1 Measure three heaping tablespoons into a mug

2 Bring 1/3 cup your choice of liquid to a simmer

3 Pour over chocolate mix let sit 1 minute

4 Froth vigorously with a mini whisk

5 Enjoy!

Ingredients: bittersweet chocolate (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: soy lecithin, vanilla, cocoa 60-69% minimum), cocoa powder, dark muscovado sugar, ancho, chipotle chilies, cinnamon, vanilla, pink Himalayan salt.

Manufactured in a facility that processes nuts, dairy, egg and soy products.

Allergy info: hazelnuts, almonds, macadamia nuts, milk (including lactose), soy.

This is amazing drinking chocolate. Deeply intense and rich. You want spiciness? You will find no better answer! I assure you that you will be smiling after your first sip. And, if you ever have the fortune to visit David's both at a chocolate event, make certain to sample each of his drinking chocolates. The way he prepares them are incredible.

The richest smoothest chocolate. Just the right amount of spice. No sweetener needed.   We had gotten the Aztec chocolate as a gift. We liked it so much we tried to recreate it with grocery store ingredients. We could not. Your chocolate is in a class of it' own.  Very satisfying.

David knows how to DELIGHT!  A smooth and creamy complex concoction.  Chiles provide a subtle / obvious kick and spice as the palate quickly adjusts.
Sweetness appropriate. Incredible flavor depth.
